1 Peter 3:7, NKJV

“Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.”

After 30 some years, two engagements I nixed, and a whole lotta therapy myself … I surrender this all to God. And begin to stop playing games, and start asking real questions about who I am, and who I need to and want to be as a future wife. No longer a terrified, prideful, soul wounded girl playing games or dodging accountability for my own trauma and pain. When you come around me, I want to be ready, and show up courageously and fully as myself, the woman God intended me to be.

I’m sorry Lord, for the thing I’ve made it. For the first time, I stand broken before You.

A vibe for the future husband, from your wife who is working on her soul care in this moment …

I have turned

From hot headed red

To a deeper, more courageous hue.

No longer a danger

But becoming

A dangerous Woman.

I have long cared deeply
