I get frustrated and overwhelmed feeling that boycotting big brands like Amazon won’t do any good at this point to fight capitalism and exploitative practices that harm communities of color. So when I read articles like this I appreciate it. It gives power back and is an excellent resource. Thank you for sharing and for all the research that went into this article.

I also would be remiss if I did not assert that as Koreans, we have not helped the BIPOC community by cornering the Black beauty market in major cities across America. We have done something unjust in the name of our own peoples’ survival, by shutting out another marginalized group, and that is wrong. I know that our culture being collectivist tended toward protecting one another over others, especially as a way to survive postwar, but it is still not right to have exploited the Black community’s dollars.
