I Kept My Son Home from School the Day After Uvalde and a White Man Verbally Berated & Humiliated Me.
It wasn’t Uvalde. Uvalde was the straw that broke the communities of colors’ hearts, and shattered what little hope was left for these egregious systems.
The following is real as fuck and about all the Whites with power who are the real murderers, thugs, instigators, sociopaths, narcissists, abusers, and psychopaths. America has been in an abusive relationship with White men and women since these colonizers arrived and committed genocide against the Indigenous People and Nations in what is now the United States.
This is America. And this is the White Man’s fault.
I kept my son home from school the day after the shootings in Uvalde, Texas. Like every mother across the country, I grieved the loss of these beautiful, innocent babies.
Right now, I have to say that I am nearing a point of spiritual wear that I have not yet encountered as a mother, as a woman, as a minority, as an artist, as a community-based servant. I am nearing a point of spiritual fatigue and sorrow that I have not experienced before. And I need to assert that it has me at a crossroads.
