I think more of us than are willing to admit have been in your shoes (and the wife’s shoes). You wrote with such care and empathy for the wife. I love that about this otherwise really heartbreaking story for both of you. I hope you have both found healing and peace. I can’t say I feel that same way for the husband/your ex.
