Calling Bullshit on the US Supreme Court’s Toxic Oral Arguments on Affirmative Action

Pitting racial and ethnic groups against one another in the interest of upholding White Supremacy is nothing new.

I was born at night. But not last night. The fury has been slow brewing within me since I tried to force myself to listen to the pathetic US Supreme Court oral arguments via Facebook Live last week. I failed miserably.

One of the most egregious strategies of organizations such as Students for Fair Admissions and cowardly ringmaster, Ed Blum, is the attempt to use AAPIs to pit minority groups against one another. The ultimate goal, of course, being to dismantle Affirmative Action, a policy that has been in place since (roughly) 1961 to help increase racial equity in employment.
